What's New
On July 31, 2009, The Protect Internet Freedom Act of 2009 (H.R. 3458) was introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives. This bill would protect Network Neutrality under the Communications Act, safeguarding the future of the open Internet and protecting Internet users from discrimination online.
H.R. 3458 aims to ensure that service providers allow internet users full access
to available content and services while encouraging competition among internet service providers. This is necessary to allow every citizen, business or
grassroots organization access to the full Internet, regardless of point of
view or finances.
